FACULTY OF BUSINESS – INTERNSHIP ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS

Compulsory Internship

• Students are required to complete their compulsory internship over a continuous period of 20 working days during the summer term or mid-term break, and to submit their internship reports within 10 working days following the end of the internship.
• It is not considered appropriate to carry out compulsory internships during the academic semester. **
• Students who undertake their compulsory internship during the summer term are not allowed to enroll in summer school courses simultaneously.
• Students who wish to complete both their compulsory and voluntary internships consecutively as part of a long-term internship — either during the summer term or during the academic semester (if only the internship course remains) — must:
  •      Complete the first 20 working days of the internship as their compulsory internship,
  •      Upload the compulsory and voluntary internship application forms separately into the system, making sure the start and end dates do not overlap,
  •      Submit their internship reports within 10 working days following the completion of the compulsory internship.

Long-term internships must be completed before the start of the following academic semester.

Voluntary Internship

• Students who wish to undertake a voluntary internship during the academic semester may be allowed to do so with the approval of their internship coordinators, provided that their weekly course schedule (as of the add-drop period) includes at least two full free days.

** For students who are at the stage of graduation and have only 1–2 courses remaining and/or are able to schedule their courses on a single day, the suitability of completing a compulsory internship will be evaluated by the relevant academic committee.

Forms to be submitted at the end of the mandatory internship and related information:

1. INTERNSHIP REPORT
   After all the questions in the form are answered in English, all pages of the report must be signed and stamped by the internship supervisor.
2. ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT INTERN EVALUATION FORM
   This form will be filled out by the workplace and delivered to the intern student in a sealed and signed envelope.
3. INTERNSHIP SITE EVALUATION FORM
   This form will be filled out by the intern student.

All documents must be submitted within a maximum of 10 days after the end of the internship.
