Important Explanation About Elective Courses

 

There are 11 elective courses in the course curriculum of the Department of Economics. In order to graduate, the students are required to take at least 6 department elective courses. 3 of them should be out of faculty. At least for  courses should be picked from 4 groups (tracks) given as

 

1. Micro: Labor Economics (ECON 428), Industrial Organization (ECON 413) , Game Theory (ECON 418)

2. Macro: Growth (ECON 405), Advanced Growth (ECON 408), Advanced Macroeconomic Theory (ECON 30?)

3. Econometrics: Applied Econometrics (ECON 324), Time Series Analysis (ECON 415), Applied Economic Analysis (ECON 407)

4. Development: Development Economics (Econ 426), History of Economic Thought (ECON 314), Political Economy (ECON 409)
